York’s Only Five-Star Hotel
The 2024 winner of Visit England Awards for Excellence Large Hotel of the Year – and many other accolades, this Grade II listed building has 207 bedrooms including a Penthouse Suite. Originally built in 1906 as the North Eastern Railway Company’s headquarters and a ‘palace of business’ it is an iconic landmark at the heart of a historic city. Splendid acquired the hotel in 2014.
