Award-winning Splendid Hospitality Group (SHG), which employs over 2500 people in the hospitality sector across hotels, restaurants and care homes welcomes three senior hires to the team. Emma Yearwood joins the business as Group People Director; Austen Bushrod is appointed Director of Procurement; and Jon Newton is named Central Finance Director.
Leading the Group People team, Emma will be responsible for driving forward the Splendid People Strategy across the entire organisation.
Emma brings a wealth of expertise to the position with over 15 years in HR leadership. Previously holding roles within EMEA and global organisations, Emma is experienced at delivering large scale transformation projects, developing high performing teams and aligning innovative HR strategies to business goals.
SHG also welcomes Austen Bushrod to its team as Director of Procurement. In this role, Austen will lead on the development of a strategic procurement function to support the evolving needs of SHG’s wide-ranging portfolio of hotels, quick-service restaurants and care homes.
Austen has over two decades of experience devising and implementing procurement strategies for multi-site organisations in the UK and across the EMEA. Previously holding roles at Accor, Radisson Hotels and the Rank Group, Austen has in-depth knowledge of the broad procurement requirements of the Hospitality industry.

Jon Newton takes up the role of Central Finance Director where he will be instrumental to the delivery of strategic finance projects. Jonathan’s background spans the commercial and not-for-profit sectors, starting his career at Deloitte. Over the last 20 years, Jonathan has gained a track record of effective finance management, improving business performance and boosting working capital.
