Splendid Hospitality Group (SHG) business leaders and volunteers from across its restaurants division were on hand in Birmingham to unpack donations, fulfil orders and tidy up a warehouse to support cashforkids Mission Christmas.
The charity provides toys and gifts to children who need them the most. Splendid’s 38 KFC restaurant team members in the Midlands and the Northeast have also helped the charity raise over £200,000 so far in 2024. Splendid Restaurants have been working with the charity for five years.
Splendid Colonel Restaurants Managing Director Ben Clayton, Chief Financial Officer Deshan Karunaratne and twenty team members volunteered for the day at the Birmingham warehouse depot, with further sorting days taking place in the coming weeks.
Ben Clayton, Managing Director at Splendid Restaurants said: “Five years ago my amazing colleague Sarah Jones proposed collaborating with cashforkids. Our KFC franchise business has grown its involvement every year through her zeal and the team’s dedication to help such an incredible charity”.
